This is Sky! A beautiful medium-sized American bulldog/Staffy cross.
A true lapdog, if you give her the chance.
She loves walks, plays, pets and scratches all over. SO loving with kids of all sizes, although doesn’t always realise her own size when she’s being playful.
She thrives in a regular, routined environment and taken to sleeping in a crate very well. It’s her safe space.
Behaviour
We got her right before her 3rd birthday and have enjoyed her bubbly company for 4 years now.
We are her fourth owners, however, so the first years of her life we think were quite turbulent. This comes through in her being a little anxious when meeting new people or in new environments. She warms up quickly though and loves making new friends.
We were told that she was under socialised as a pup, and so does not get on with other dogs. We have not had any other pets due to the size of our home, and so cannot speak for her demeanour around smaller companions.
Why we need to rehome
We need to rehome her because we had our first human-child a year ago and the home has unfortunately proved too tight for all of us❤️ Sky needs a bit of extra comforting and attention to regulate her bigger emotions, a result of her younger years, and we have struggled to provide that for her whilst caring for our little human.
Health
She is really fit and healthy with no underlying health issues. She revels a good brushing and will sit patiently through a wash in the tub.
Sky is not spade, so she has a season twice per year. She is comfortable and used to wearing diapers, and tries her best to clean after herself.
