Four Paws Animal Rescue (South Wales),
PO Box 57,
Newport,

We are a small independent charity who try to help any animal in need – those that are unwanted or in danger. Primarily, however, we tend to take in and re-home dogs, which is where our expertise is. However, when we do receive cats and other small animals we may enlist the help of other more specialist rescue organisations if we can’t re-home them ourselves.
We pride ourselves in a non-destruction policy. As far as possible we try to foster dogs in a home environment where they can be assessed and cared for without the stresses of kennels. All our animals receive veterinary care if needed, are vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, and if old enough they are neutered. All prospective new owners are home checked.
We can only do this with your continued support and are in urgent need of local foster homes and fundraisers, even if it’s just spending an hour helping at a Meet & Greet.Find out more on our volunteering page or maybe join our forum.
Some of the dogs that we rehome come to us from the local pound. The pounds that we work with have a Put-To-Sleep policy if we are unable to help them. This makes the task even harder, if we do not have spaces ourselves we will work with other rescues to give this poor dogs a chance of a happy life. We also rehome a number of dogs and cats that have been handed in privately to us.
We rehome dogs across the UK as long as we can find someone in your area who can perform a home check and you are prepared to travel to where the dog is fostered.
