All the staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury would like to welcome you to our rehoming centre.
Dogs Trust Shrewsbury first opened 40 years ago and is one of the oldest of the Dogs Trust rehoming centres. It was originally known as Dogs Trust Roden and after a recent, much-needed rebuild is now a state of the art, eco-friendly centre for our residents.
Our rehoming centre is set within 30 acres of land and we also have seven free-running compounds, where every dog has time to spend stretching their legs in the sand and enjoy some time just playing with their four-legged pals. With 76 kennels, our centre cares for 130 dogs at any one time, all different shapes, sizes and ages and all looking for forever homes with families who will give them plenty of TLC.
Our dedicated members of staff are always on hand to help to advise you on the best dog for you, so please pop down during our opening hours. If you have any rehoming queries or want to know more about a particular dog, please call the centre on 01952 770225.
Did you know our Supporter Relations Officer (SRO) can offer free talks to community groups and organise tours of the rehoming centre? They also deal with all the local enquiries about donations in memory of a loved one, as well as answering any questions about our free Canine Care Card Scheme or legacies. They also organises the annual Fun Day and helps with the social media coverage for the rehoming centre too!
