Just Whippets Rescue - National

Just Whippets Rescue are an organisation set up to rescue, rehabilitate where necessary and re home whippets in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage.

Just Whippets Rescue never uses Kennels all our dogs in Foster are fostered in our Home Checked approved whippet friendly foster homes. Having foster homes throughout the Country allows us to Rescue whippets nationally without us having to be tied to one central location. Just Whippets Rescue therefore has no re homing centre and all our day to day administration is administered near Exeter, Devon.

A Whippet loves human companionship and makes a loveable pet very clean in the house, easy to manage and to groom.The breed is very hardy so that it is not likely to develop any of the hereditary diseases as in other breeds. Many people are surprised to learn that Whippets are remarkable watchdogs, as they render a meek and mild appearance but the dogs are quickly aroused when a stranger is about, or if their owners are in danger.

Just Whippets Rescue is a registered Charity that rescues, re homes and rehabilitates Whippets and Whippets X’s across England, Scotland and Wales. As a small and independent Charity we receive no Government funding and rely on the support of Volunteers and Donations. Just Whippets Rescue is solely operated by unpaid Trustees and Volunteers. We do not own a Rescue Centre, kennelling facilities or office premises.
