Somerset and Dorset Animal Rescue - Wincanton, Somerset

Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue is a non-profitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of unwanted animals. The rescue is run entirely by non-wage volunteers who juggle their full time jobs with the care of over 60 animals.

We currently have in our care dogs, cats, ponies, sheep, rabbits and chickens and we never know what is going to be brought to us next.  Because we have no salaried full time staff we are not always on hand to answer the telephone and we know that can be frustrating for people when they cannot contact us.  Please bear with us and remember that here the animals always come first and caring for this many takes time and a great deal of patience.  Your calls are important to us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  This also means that viewing of animals can only be by appointment so please do contact us before turning up.

We are totally reliant on the generosity of the public and are always grateful for food and bedding donations.
