Daisy is approximately 3 to 3.5 years old gorgeous sweet natured girl who’s looking for that someone special to become her world! She is a Vojvodinski Pulin which is working breed but in the right home, they make wonderful and loyal pets.
This gorgeous girl is true to her breed and super clever, normally she’d be doing a job similar to a Border Collie but she only has 3 legs so needs an easier life. She was sadly run over and dumped to die because she couldn’t be sold and couldn’t work anymore. A local lady who cares for street dogs spotted her and altered us, so we took her on. Her mangled leg was only in the way of her enjoying life as she kept on tripping up on it so the vet decided best thing to do was to amputate it and the change in her was amazing. From clumsy shy dog to happy, bouncy and friendly girl in just a few weeks!
Daisy would benefit from mental stimulation in form of games vs lots of physical activity to keep her tired due to her disability. Although she has 3 legs she loves going for walkies and isn’t adverse to a game of fetch because she loves retrieving. Please note the ball shouldn’t be thrown for her over extended periods of time even though she’d fetch all day long given the chance.
Her coat looks ‘messy’ a bit like some of our ‘morning hair’ but that’s the kind of look you either love or you’re going to have to learn to accept and love if you’re going to be her new momma/pappa because it is not to be shaved as she’s double coated. She would benefit from regular brushing which would stop her looking like a wild child but that’s about it for coat care.
We feel that she’d be best off in a rural home that has had experience with border collies or similar working breeds. Ideally, she’d be left home alone very little because she enjoys human company too much. She also loves other dogs so in the ideal world, her home would already have a resident dog to show her the ropes of family life, this is not essential for the right home.
Daisy is very loving, sweet and gentle dog, she would like nothing more than to curl up on the sofa with you and maybe even sleep on your bed. She needs a home where she will be a true family member, these dogs are very loyal and people orientated. A home that is not too busy, she is nervous with very loud noises, she is use to peaceful surroundings.
She could live with children 12+, anything smaller she could easily knock over due to her clumsiness and excitement.
